Hello and welcome to the start of June and your latest edition of GrownUps News!
To start the month off, we have a few new competitions for you! In association with Universal we are giving away a number of copies of It's Complicated starring Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, and Meryl Streep. As well as a competition, you can also read the full interview with one of the leading men!
We also have a popular competition from Specsavers where you can win two pairs of Specsavers Frames with Single Vision PENTAX lenses. If that is of interest to you, be sure to enter here!
Also, if you live in Auckland (or nearby) we recommend you book out Thursday 17th June to see ¡Viva España! at the Auckland Town Hall. The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra will be celebrating Spanish music concert. And if you book tickets through GrownUps then you can enter the draw to receive a free programme book and a voucher to join the APO Guild members at interval drinks. This should be quite an event if you are a fan of music.
On a completely different note, we would just like to bring up a quick housekeeping notice. While we try to block spammers on GrownUps as much as possible, some do slip through the gaps and cause some mayhem. Over the past few weeks we have been getting a few more trying to slip through, the latest being a user named "lord".
We would just like to take a moment to remind everyone to be wary of users who send Friend Requests with odd requests. In the case of "lord", the user claimed they had $4million USD and needed your help spending the money to build churches in your area...
If something sounds too unusual to be true then it is probably a spammer having you on.
If you ever receive an email like this, please contact the GrownUps Team as soon as possible via the Feedback Form.
We will work as quickly as we can to remove the spammer from the community. The same applies to spammers in the Discussion Boards. We thank you all for your help keeping an eye on GrownUps and keep our community safe.
A week or two ago we mentioned that we found a new health juice called "The SuperJuice". As well as being very good for you, we have also heard that Noel is looking for a few people to help spread the word about SuperJuice while working from home. So if you are interested in finding out more about the product, our GrownUps Special, or working for SuperJuice, please click here and get in contact with Noel.
In travel news, David & Sue Sweet (Mairenui French Connectionz) would like to invite you to join them on their 17 day in-depth tours of the French & Italian countryside. Bookings are being taken now but last we heard they were closing end of May. So if you are interested then we suggest you contact David and Sue as soon as possible as there may still be room on the tour for you!
And finally, we would like to remind you that the Seniors Card special offer for GrownUps Members is still available. If you haven't heard of Seniors Card, you can find out more by clicking here, and if this sounds like something of interest to you, you can join here.
Hopefully we've seen the last of the spammers for a while and we can get back to enjoying all that the GrownUps Community has to offer!
We hope you have a great week and enjoy the rest of your newsletter.
Kind regards,
The GrownUps Team
